Conclusion

Kleine concludes by showing the capabilities approach in multiple aspects and how it affects underdeveloped societies. This approach is one which is an underdog in the world of trying to help the unfortunate, but a fair one. Shouldn't we all have the choice what we want to do? Isn't freedom a part of human life? It does not seem just to force technology on people who don't want it. Furthermore, Kleine delves into how to provide those who want technology with these assets but make sure that they're able to navigate the technology. Being "poor" could be considered a disability, and Kleine wants as much equality as possible so the developing countries of the world aren't eclipsed by such advancement. They always start off with a few pieces of technology in each town, and train the townspeople off these devices until they've graduated in skill level. While the capabilities approach seems to be an interesting and effective one, it has a long way to go before it can help develop a country.
